The win in Sabah shows public’s confidence in Muhyiddin as PM, says Azmin

KUALA LUMPUR – PN information chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said today that the win in the Sabah state election shows the public’s confidence in the current Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Azmin said that the state election shows that Sabahans chose to aligned themselves and strengthen the ties with the federal government. It shows maturity in uploading the spirit of federalism for the interest of the Sabah people.

He said that the Sabah people has giver the mandate and has chosen a government that is caring, inclusive and able to guarantee state sovereignty and the interest and well being of its citizen.

According to Azmin, the results also proves that the general public’s confidence on Muhyiddin’s leadership and the cooperation between Perikatan Nasional and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.

Perikatan Nasional has been given mandate by the people to govern the state to it’s development and economic recovery post Covid-19.

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition led by Muhyiddin won the simple majority in the state election by winning 37 seats. A sufficient numnber to form a new federal government.

Azmin’s statement days after Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claimed to have sufficient numbers to for a new federal government. According to palace comptroller Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin The Agong, as advised by doctors, will not be taking any audience for week as he needs to undergo a period of observation.
