19-year old, Learner Tien is creating history in AO 2025
Only a few more days to pass for the much awaited final of the “Australian Open 2025” and the world will witness the winner of the first Grand Slam title of this new year. Every day of AO 2025 is no lesser to any emotions equal to the finals and the day 7 is piled up with a mix of drama, upsets, historical moments and masterclass performance of both the seasoned and young players executed at diverse arenas.
The 19-year old Learner Tien etched the history by registering his victory against Corentin Moutet and entered into the fourth round. He is the youngest player to enter the fourth round since Rafael Nadal, 7-6(10), 6-3, 6-3 at Melbourne Park.
“I have watched him play a few matches, and the level is great. He’s got the crowd behind him. He’s playing really well. I think his serve became a big weapon. Maybe it wasn’t before. It’s not a surprise that he ended up top 10 last season in his best season yet” said Minaur after his tremendous victory over the World Class Player Novak Djokovic.
