KUALA LUMPUR: ‘Malaysia Cares’ was the chosen theme of this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day, as a show of appreciation towards the frontliners and their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said, Malaysians wants to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the country. He hopes that the attitude of concern can be instill and the caring attitude can make the entire country intact.
Aminuddin added that the country, in its 63rd time, will be celebration the National Day with peace and in the state of well-being.
Although there will be no parade for this year’s celebration due to Covid-19, it will be replaced with a more symbolic programme.
“This is officially the 63rd National Day according to the declaration of independence on August 31, 1957 by Tunku Abdul Rahman.” He added.
According to Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah, RTM will broadcast a special National Day programme today so that this day will still be celebrated. H He also urged the public to display their Malaysian flags until the Malaysia Day on September 16.
