KATSEYE’s members, Manon Bannerman, withdrew from group activities due to various health-related reasons. The changes have brought a new active lineup to the group, as they also get ready for their WILD EP release and the upcoming WildWorld Tour.
Another member Sophia announced her hiatus yesterday on 7th August from the group, leaving the international girl group with currently four active members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung.
Manon Bannerman’s Health Hiatus in February
The biggest change was on February 20, 2026, when HYBE x Geffen Records revealed that Manon will temporarily discontinue group performances for health and well-being reasons.
KATSEYE then evolved into a 5-member team. During the period off, Manon communicated with her fans called EYEKONS, thanking them for their support and saying that she was taking time off to rest and recover.
By late June, Sophia, too, had made it clear that she wanted to give Manon the space and time she needed but didn’t rush her back.
Sophia Laforteza Begins Medical Hiatus
On August 7th 2026, HYBE x Geffen Records revealed that KATSEYE lead singer Sophia Laforteza was set to miss out on promotional tours for the group, following expert medical advice.
Special rest and further treatment had been recommended, the agency said. Sophia then spoke to the fans, to inform them that her health and wellbeing had to become priority, above all so that she can, one day, put on stage in good health.
Her departure came after she missed a few shows such as the Hinterland Music Festival and KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS‘ Los Angeles premiere.
KATSEYE Continues as a Four-Member Group
Sophia is away, but KATSEYE used to have a program of activities planned out and it’s staying on schedule. WILD, which features Pinky Up and Animal, is their third EP that will be released on August 14, 2026.
Four active members are feeling the effects of promotional appearances/performances. The choreography, vocal performances and other stage activity can thus be tailored to without cancelling out the group’s promotional campaign in general.

What Happens to KATSEYE in September 2026?
Medical experts will be reevaluating Sophia’s recovery in September 2026. It will be even more significant as KATSEYE will launch their WildWorld Tour in Dublin on September 1.
However, her involvement with the tour will be based on her health and medical advice. The group is said to be making further preparations in the meantime with its four-strong, active club lineup.
