From ITF tournaments to WTA events, Croatian tennis player Antonia Ružić has been steadily improving and developing herself to become a promising star in the women’s professional circuit.
With her development on a variety of surfaces, Antonia Ruzic added 10 points to her WTA ranking to climb to a career high of world No. 50 as of July 13, 2026.
Ružić’s development level at 23 shows that consistency, experience at the tournaments and Grand Slams are crucial for a successful career.
Antonia Ružić WTA Ranking History and Career Progress
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranked Ružić No. 268 in 2023, No. 145 in 2024 and No. 75 at the end of 2025. She continued to break through in 2026, but eventually dropped to about No. 81.
Grand Slam Qualifying Record and Early Challenges
Ružić started the 2023 Grand Slam qualifying tournament at Roland Garros. She had a few times where she failed to qualify in 2024, and finally made her way into the Grand Slam main draw in the 2025 US Open. These experiences highlighted the challenging shift from competitive and lower tier tournaments to the highest levels.
Australian Open Wimbledon and French Open Results
She went on to drop the first round of both the Australian Open and US Open in her 2026 campaign. She did make it to the second round at Roland Garros, however, and her first two Grand Slam main-draw wins came at Wimbledon. These achievements were significant accomplishments in her career.
Can Antonia Ružić Become a Consistent Top 50 Player?
Ružić has a highly aggressive game which is good on faster pitches, but needs better performances against competition in top-50 rankings. She has shown great potential through her growth, but if she can be more consistent when she gets to the courts and more consistent when she makes tournament runs, she’ll have a lot of potential.
