Artist Michael V. tests positive for COVID-19

MANILA – Michael V. has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Kapuso comedian announced the news on his latest Youtube vlog and documented his journey from being tested in the hospital and the result of his swab test.

The whole Covid-19 test in the hospital took him five hours and a cost of around Php 12,000

Michael V. confirmed the news after receiveing his positive test result on Saturday. He said that he has suspicions early on as he was experiening Covid-19 symptoms early on including weird sensation on his nasal area and a lost of sense of smell and taste.

“We’ll get through this. We’ve been through worse. I miss my family so much.” He added

In his vlog, he showed how difficult for him to be isolated away from his family to avoid spreading the virus. He also admit his frustrations of his family being near but not able to hug or kiss them. He shed tears for not able to be with his family for consecutive days.

On his 8th day of isolation, Bitoy is experiencing mild fever but slowly regaining his sense of smell.

Several celebrities like Christopher de Leon, Iza Calzado and journalist Howie Severino have tested positive for COVID-19.
