Director Sue Kim and producer Sony Music Vision are getting ready to show us a documentary about Blackpink member Lisa. At Sony’s Hollywood event focusing on musical films, the team announced what they were working on. Over the past year, the Thai K-pop sensation has been guided by director Sue Kim, who has worked on the films “The Last of the Sea Women” and the TV show “K-Pop Idols.” The documentary will supposedly introduce audience members to parts of Lisa’s personality and job that have not been seen before.
Behind-the-Scenes Access
“We watch Lisa handle her work with Blackpink and her new solo career,” Kim explained that Lisa reached out to her childhood friends to be part of the series, which proved her wish for real stories. You can find performances from her concerts, footage of private moments with her family, and her acting in HBO’s “The White Lotus.”

Production Details
Lisa’s new solo album, Alter Ego, released by LLOUD CO./RCA Records, is what inspired this project. Though the group’s members have focused on different work, Blackpink plans to hold tours later in the year. Sony Music Vision’s prestigious music films now include the documentary, along with others they have produced in recent years by Questlove and Baz Luhrmann.
No official release date has been announced for the highly anticipated documentary.
