Coupang Play Dives into the J-Drama: Everything We Know So Far!

A new J-drama adaptation is arriving to the world of Korean entertainment industry and it is carried out by the leading video on demand service company in Korea ‘Coupang Play’. ‘The Confidence Man JP’ is the title of the original version which premiered in 2018 and the theme of this drama has been stated as crime comedy drama. Also, this drama is not based on any novel/webtoon/manga but an original concept which was presented for the television audiences. 

Why a Korean Adaptation?

The well-written story and screenplay with social satire is estimated to attract the viewers and if it is portrayed by the sensational Park Min-young and Park Hee-soon will multiply the reach of this adaptation at the international stage too. 

The story revolves around the three leads, a genius con artist who team up with a sly veteran and a rookie to dig out the scams that hidden by the corrupt elite group from the world. To expose the truth before the world they are forced to disguise themselves as different personalities which adds the quirky layers into the drama. It is expected to be the justifying adaptation that succeeds as a perfect binge watch for your weekend.
