Covid-19: Kelantan mufti hospitalized

PETALING JAYA – Kelantan mufti Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad has been hospitalized this morning on suspicion of Covid-19 infection after returning from Sarawak with had fever and sore throat.

Malaysiakini reported that Shukri felt pain in his joints and was on medical leave after he went for a check-up on Sunday.

“The father has been hospitalized for monitoring as the Covid-19 outbreak is now over. The father’s blood results have not yet come out.” a family member said when contacted.

“The hospital told us that there is a bacterial infection, but we still don’t know the details”.

The family member also urged the public to pray for him and not spread fake news regarding the situation. “I have received many calls from people and messages have been spread saying that father is in critical condition,” he said.
