Covid-19: Sime Darby Property HQ closed after one staff tests positive

KUALA LUMPUR – Sime Darby Property has temporarily closed its HQ in Ara Damansara here for disinfection after one of its employee tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee had been in the office until last Friday, he currently being treated and monitored at a hospital.

Sime Darby Property said in a statement,  that all employees based at the headquarters have been ordered to work from home further notice from the company.

The company is also underaking a detailed contact tracing procedure in the company who have been in contact with the victim.

All Covid-19 screening costs will be covered by the company.

Sime Darby Property also assured that sales galleries and office premises will not be affected and will continue as usual.

Sime Darby Property said that those who were incontact with the staff member will be requited to self-quarantine for two weeks.

It said that the health and safety of the staffs are the most important thing and they will continue to monitor the situation. Business operations will be carried out normal but the staff will be temporarily work from home until further notice.
