Covid-19 Watch: Updates and current situation in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA – There are 212 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the country with death toll spiking to 15.

This is currently the highest number of new cases recorded in a day, with the previous record at 190 new cases recorded last March 15.

According to Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, as of Noon of March 23, The total number of Covid-19 positive cases is now at 1,518. The highest in Southeast Asia.

Out of the 212 new cases recorded, 123 cases of those were linked from the Seri Petaling tabligh event.

Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre reported the four new deaths which brings the death toll to 14. Dr Noor Hisham also reported that additional 20 cases have recovered and were sent to home. Bringing the total recovered cases to 159.
