The first week of the AO 2025 is filled with the domination and finesse of the star players and registered their back to back victories. Day four of the edition met an early morning rain which caused delay in play and the matches which were scheduled took place under closed roofs.
Novak Djokovic’s new record of playing his 430th grand slam singles match by breaking the record of the legendary tennis player Roger Federer is the notable moment of day four. He locked his spot in the third round with the four set win against Jaime Faria [6-1, 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-2]. The battle between third seed Carlos Alcaraz and Yoshihito Nishioka ended with Carlos victory and advanced to the next round, 6-0, 6-1, 6-4. The crowd enjoyed the grueling five-set triumph of Tomas Machac against Reilly Opelka and a straight set win of Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
