Drone airfield for enthusiast to open in Melaka

MELAKA – Starting March this year, enthusiasts of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) can use Sungai Rambai Aerodrome in Jasin as their own drone airfield. Melaka public works, transportation and public utilities committee chairman Datuk Mohd Sofi Abdul Wahab said the government plans to reactive the said airfield that has been idle since last year. “It will a site exclusively for drone and UAV enthusiast.” He added. Jasin Municipal Council has been maintaining the site as the hangar, runway and facilities are still in good condition.
