A new online driver’s license renewal system that will allow you to renew your license at home has been introduced by the Land Transportation Office (LTO). Now, people can conveniently renew their driver’s license online using the eGovPH app, so everyone with a smartphone and internet access can enjoy this digital service.
On July 10, 2025, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon and Information Technology Secretary Henry Aguda initiated the launching ceremony of this online system for renewing driver’s licenses. The new digital process falls under the realization of the government through the eGovPH app to make the lives of Filipino drivers convenient and accessible to the various public services.

- Select the option of home delivery or picking it up at the office of your new license.
Through the eGovPH app, the whole process of driver’s license renewal can be done online without any need to go to any office of the LTO. It implies that you can renew your license wherever you are, including in the workplace, at home, or even when visiting a foreign country.
Benefits for OFWs: Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) can now check in their system for renewal of their driver’s license even when they are working overseas. This avoids the cost and wastage of time to go to the Philippines to renew their licenses.
