Everything to know about Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Is it similar to 2007 game?

We now have a release date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, so we know we’ll be jumping from rooftop to rooftop in October. Since its first announcement, Ubisoft has been a bit quiet on this Assassin’s Creed title, but with its recent gameplay teaser at the PlayStation Showcase and the forthcoming Ubisoft Forward in the E3 2023 program, we’re seeing a lot more of our old friend Basim.

The wait will be well worth it because Mirage is going back to the series’ roots and departing from the vast open-worlds and RPG path taken by games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be closer to the traditional stealth experience in the Baghdad setting as a love homage to the game that began it all. You may anticipate discovering all of the original components in the position of protagonist Basim, who focuses on parkour, stealth, and assassinations.

Release date

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date is set for October 12, 2023, according to Ubisoft. It will be accessible when it launches on the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be made available on PC via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store, according to Ubisoft.

Editions

At launch, three Assassin’s Creed Mirage versions will be offered. Priced at $50/€50 for the Standard Edition, $60/€60 for the Deluxe Edition, which contains DLC based on Prince of Persia, and $150/€150 for the Limited Collector’s Case, which comes with a 32cm Basim figure, a map of Baghdad, a unique steelbook, and more. You can only unlock a “40 Thieves” side quest if you pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage right away.

The long-running franchise takes a back-to-basics approach in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with Ubisoft going back to the stealth-action, story-driven foundations that characterized Altair and Ezio’s initial adventures. Baghdad is the setting for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will depict Basim’s development in the years leading up to his entrance in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
