Heart Signal is a well-known dating reality show in South Korea, coming back with Season 5, and its fans around the world are excited without a doubt. Because of this, the next season will start filming in December 2025 and probably premiere sometime in the first half of 2026. It was announced not too long after another title of the same franchise, Heart Pairing, finished the first season in June.
Though there is no exact date of airing as of yet, the production team has developed a clear path. It will start filming in winter 2025 in December, and the post-production will presumably be followed soon to keep the annual schedule of releasing new franchise movies.
International fans without Korean access will be able to expect international subtitles within a short period upon the Korean release, as occurred with the past seasons.
The producers have already declared that the casting of season 5 of Heart Signal will start shortly. Just as in the previous seasons, the TV show will be filled with a new batch of young men and women who are selected based on charm, personality, and relatability. It could be expected that the official channels and the social online spaces of the show will publish the announcement of the open casting call during the following weeks.
It will adhere to the tradition of the show to have contestants with a mix of professions, such as fashion, finance, media, and health, and a mix of introverts and extroverts to create organic chemistry in front of the camera.
Heart Signal continues to have one of its greatest draws in the form of its format. A set of strangers, usually four men and four women, share a house for a month. There are no rehearsed scenes, only natural interactions between them, which are watched and critiqued by a panel of celebrity hosts, relationship experts, and psychologists.
Viewers see the unedited live feed of the participants and make predictions about who is likely to be building a secret love affair. The show emphasizes body language, slight self-deprecating looks, and other hints of romantic attraction, which make it outstanding among other, more exuberant dating programs.

The producers have explained that the future Heart Signal and its sister program Heart Pairing will have an alternating release strategy. Since Heart Pairing premiered the show in 2025, 2026 will be the year that the Heart Signal will be back, giving the audience a new dose of the franchise every year without overloading.
The given strategy enables each series to shine and capture the attention of the audience to maintain their interest in the Heart brand.
Heart Signal has, since its debut show in the year 2017, garnered a cult-like following not only in Korea but also in Asia. It has the emotional realism and slow-burn love stories that go well with a soft pace, which makes it exceptional in the reality dating genre. Past seasons may be heralded due to the number of meaningful connections, sincere talks about dating, and even turning their cast members into social media celebrities.
As the world gets increasingly interested in K-content, now returning Heart Signal is another first in the history of Korean reality television.
