Hideo Higashikokubaru is deferred from “Gogosuma” for the False Social Media Posts

On January 19, 2025, Hideo Higashikokubaru posted on his social media regarding the death of a former Hyogo Prefectural Assembly member. But, the information posted by Hideo was denied by the Hyogo Prefectural Police. Following this he expressed his mistake and apologised for this inconvenient incident through another post which states that,

“I deeply regret and apologize for hastily posting some information of unknown veracity without sufficient fact-checking”.

So, this led to the cancellation of the information program “Gogosuma – GOGO – Smile” in which Hideo Higashikokubaru appears and he is deferred from the program completely. It was officially announced on January 23, 2025 by the former governor of Miyazaki Prefecture and member of the House of Representatives. This program is broadcasted from Monday to Friday at 1.55pm regularly.
