WCL 2025: India Set to Withdraw Playing in Semis Against Pakistan! What Happens Next?

Last updated on July 31st, 2025 at 03:59 pm

Following the boycott of the league match with the Pakistan Champions by the India Champions, now they have planned to announce their resistance to play against them in the semifinals of ‘WCL (World Championship League) 2025”. This move receives welcoming comments majorly from both the former players, experts and fans about the decision of team India Champions. Even after winning only a few matches in the league stage India Champions with the higher net run rate they claimed the table and qualified for semi-finals.

It is now official that the team India Champions will withdraw from playing in the semi-final against Pakistan, as noted in the source of India Today. This reaction of team India is expressed as a reflection of the ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the geopolitics nestled around it. This has further raised the concern over the upcoming tournament such as Asian Cup 2025 matches between team India and Pakistan as they both are placed into the same ‘Group A’. Until the official statement we must wait and witness the response of both the cricket boards of India and Pakistan.

For now, India has stepped down from the semi-final and Pakistan has a brighter chance of entering the finals but yet the finalised decision of the organiser after this boycott will soon be announced.
