Miss World 2026 has been named Joheirry Mola Dominguez, a 24-year-old Dominican Republic educator, journalist, model and community activist. Her trip to the Miss World crown is making her the second Dominican woman in history to win the crown, the first being 1982’s crown queen, Mariasela Álvarez.

Joheirry Mola’s Education and Teaching Career
Mola is a graduate of Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in Business Management and Administration. She is also an accomplished educator, teaching Literature and Social Studies in English.
Her passion is teaching and helping young people through education, and developing their critical thinking. The travelling experience is similar to the social cause that later proved to be a major component in her Miss World campaign.

What Is the Voices of Tomorrow Project?
What most sets Mola’s Miss World apart is Voices of Tomorrow, the nonprofit organization she founded and serves as the President of.
The project offers educational literacy and language (English) services for free to children and young adults in economically vulnerable communities throughout the Dominican Republic. It aims at providing participants with real life language skills that can enhance their learning and career paths.
The project was the catalyst for Mola’s Beauty with a Purpose campaign, which had her both a professional and a social job.
The Message Behind Her Miss World Victory
In the last question and answer section in Nha Trang, Mola stressed on the importance of long-term benefits of English education. She believes that opportunities created through language skills can last into adulthood and lead to lifelong benefits for students.
Part of her message was to reinforce an important core of her campaign, which was that education can be a weapon to break generational cycles of poverty.
