Kazuhisa Ishii who is widely known as the baseball player and currently the renowned Manager of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles since 2018. He was then appointed as the GM and Manager in 2021. In 2023, his role was changed as the full-time manager and he retired from the roles during that season.
He continued to stay with the team and support them being in the role of ‘Director Senior Director’ and today, after the meeting with the current manager Hajime Miki who is also a former Japanese Professional baseball infielder has announced that Kazuhisa Ishii will return to the team as ‘Director General Manager’ for the upcoming new season under the new management with a lot of hope and belief over his excellency in the leadership.
The new collaboration of Miki and Ishii is expected to build a strong team for the future goals of the team in NPB.
“My mission has been to make this a winning team since I became the GM” said Kazuhisa Ishii in 2020.
