League of Legends Riftbound Trading Card Game Coming in English Language This October

This year marks the tenth anniversary for the League of Legends Riftbound trading card game, which offers a new experience of the game to League of Legends fans. This exciting new trading card game will launch in English-speaking countries this October, following its initial release in China. The Riftbound TCG marks yet the next step for Riot Games in propelling the League of Legends universe out of the digital world.

What is League of Legends Riftbound Trading Card Game?

League of Legends Riftbound is a physical trading card game that takes the popular MOBA onto your tabletop. Announced in December 2024, this Riftbound trading card game gave players the opportunity to gather cards of their favorite League of Legends champions, items, and abilities.

The League of Legends Riftbound game had been in development over several months with Riot Games conducting playtests of the trading card game during major events such as MSI 2025 in Canada to aid in fine-tuning aspects of trading card gameplay as well as-planning the smooth launch experience for worldwide players.

Riot Games later allied with UVS Games to publish the Riftbound TCG by way of professional distribution and support for organized play. The first-ever set of cards, called Origins, would welcome players into the basic workings of this brand-new League of Legends trading card game.

Riftbound Release Schedule and Global Launch Plans

The League of Legends Riftbound trade card game will observe a rather strategic release schedule depending upon the various regions. First of all, China will enjoy the Riftbound TCG in August 2025, utilizing the ever-so-popular imitation League in the Chinese market.

In English-speaking regions, the League of Legends Riftbound would be in the hands of TCG players after late October 2025. This includes the biggest markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, all having a fairly good League player base wanting to experiment with the new TCG.

A few more regions will continue pushing the Riftbound trade card game in 2026 while trying to ensure world availability. This staggered approach is beneficial for Riot Games so that they can maintain production and distribution while gathering feedback from players to enhance the overall League of Legends Riftbound experience.

Competitive Play and Esports Integration

Following in the esports tradition established by Riot Games, League of Legends Riftbound trading card game is set to boast its very own organized competitive play. UVS Games has announced a plan for the holding of regional qualifiers, leading up to a world championship, parallel to the tournament play for League of Legends esports.

The Riftbound TCG will incorporate multiple competitive formats so both casual and hardcore players can enjoy the TCG. There will be local tournaments held by the game stores, while bigger, regional-level tournaments will determine the world’s best League of Legends Riftbound players.
