On April 22, 2025 Nissan revealed an advance preview of its next fourth-generation Elgrand, a high-end minivan to be introduced in fiscal year 2026. The new model features a fresh design and cutting edge hybrid technology, intended to re-write the rules for the premium MPV segment.
The new Elgrand features a more elegant exterior with a self-illuminated Nissan logo, a dotted front grille and linear rear combination lamps. The rear part boasts a flared look with hints of similarity to rival models. The cabin inside is predicted to provide added space, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens, Amazon Alexa connectivity and Nissan’s CONNECT infotainment system.
The highlight of the new Elgrand is Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system. It features a brand-new 1.5-liter engine solely used for power generation and a “5-in-1” system combining five units including the motor and inverter, for lightness and efficiency. The e-POWER system provides the driving experience similar to electric cars with instant torque and silent drive.
Complete information regarding the fourth-generation Elgrand will be released during the latter part of fiscal year 2025, with the release of the vehicle planned for fiscal year 2026. With its combination of luxury, sophisticated technology and performance efficiency, the new Elgrand will be in a position to establish a new benchmark in the luxury minivan class.
