There are a lot of great movies, TV shows, and reality shows coming out on streaming services in the first week of September 2025. There are a lot of different kinds of books, from scary supernatural thrillers and gritty crime plays to fun family fantasies and heartfelt romances. Netflix has secrets about the supernatural and detective stories. Prime Video and JioHotstar have live events and action-packed adventures. ZEE5 has touching stories, and sites like SonyLIV have regional gems.
On September 3, Netflix starts with Wednesday Season 2 Part 2. Jenna Ortega is back as Wednesday Addams, and with psychic visions and scary threats, she delves deeper into the secrets of Nevermore Academy. This weird horror-comedy will make you laugh and scare you at the same time. Inspector Zende, which comes out on September 5, stars Manoj Bajpayee as a Mumbai police officer in the 1970s who is after escaped serial killer Carl Bhojraj, who was based on Charles Sobhraj. This crime movie is very exciting to watch because it has both funny and dangerous scenes. Pokémon Concierge Season 1 Part 2 (September 3) is a fun show for all ages with stop-motion stories about Pokémon at a tropical lodge.
JioHotstar shines with A Minecraft Movie on September 4. It’s a live-action story where four gamers fight creepers and make epic builds in the blocky Overworld. You can enjoy it with your family or with other players. Also on September 4, the version of Lilo & Stitch comes out, which is a sweet story about a Hawaiian girl and her alien “dog.” Reality TV fans can watch the ninth season of Bigg Boss Telugu on September 7. Nagarjuna Akkineni will be the host. This version of the “war game” has a double house with famous people and regular people, which means there will be drama, friendships, and betrayals.
On September 5, Prime Video will release the action-crime story Maalik, which takes place in Allahabad in the 1980s. Rajkummar Rao plays Deepak, the son of a farmer who rises through the criminal world and fights power and corruption with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Manushi Chhillar. Fans of Telugu movies can see Junior on the same day. Anushka Shetty plays a woman who gets caught in the drug trade. It’s directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and has both intense action and social criticism. Also, Footage (September 4) has an exciting crime story based on found footage.
“Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan,” Shanaya Kapoor’s first movie with Vikrant Massey as a blind singer, will air on ZEE5 on September 5. Based on Ruskin Bond, this romantic story takes you on an emotional train ride where you can learn about love and yourself. Also on ZEE5, on September 5, the Malayalam thriller Kammattam follows Inspector Antonio George (Sudev Nair) as he investigates a death in Thrissur that has ties to a money scam. Locked (September 6) adds a psychological twist by exploring secrets and being alone.
