His death has plunged the world of paranormal and fans into a mourning trend because of its suddenness.

Rivera had been on a hotel stay in Gettysburg as part of the Devils on the Run Tour, sponsored by New England Society of Psychic Research (NESPR). He collapsed and emergency services were called to his room. CPR efforts to revive him did not work and he was declared dead on the spot. The precise cause of death has not been established and an official report on the same was pending as of such time.

Rivera had taken it as his calling to introduce the real-world ghostly artifacts and paranormal narratives into people, most widely known due to his connection with the Annabelle doll.

The latter tour had included a visit to the Soldiers National Orphanage in Gettysburg where Rivera and his NESPR associates had staged three sold-out days on Friday through Sunday. The Annabelle doll which many assumed that it was demonically possessed was the main object of this tour. The evil stigma about the doll attracted visitors because the name of the doll had gained popularity due to the research work of Ed and Lorraine Warren and later the conjuring series of movies.

Bringing in a younger crowd to the paranormal world by learning more about it, Rivera had posted on such modern platforms as TikTok and YouTube, sharing her knowledge on paranormal investigations. He also had a loyal following because of the engaging way that he tells stories and respects the subject. Ryan Buell, fellow investigator and long time friend also took to social media to lament about the loss saying, “I have so many great memories with this guy.” Two months ago we were crossing the land, telling of the Warrens to a new generation. This loss is personal and profound.”

The very Annabelle doll carries quite a history of disturbing stories. It was found out that the doll was originally found in the 1970s, it could move by itself and hurt the people, who disrespected the doll. The Warrens later sold it to a protective glass case in their occultic museum located in Connecticut.
