If lotteries feel complicated, don’t take too much stress, use this step-by-step. It’s the easiest way to follow the Powerball drawing for Monday, August 25, 2025.

Results

  1. The draw happens at 10:59 p.m. ET.
  2. A few minutes later, the winning numbers appear on the Draw Results page.
  3. If the page looks unchanged, wait a minute and refresh, it updates only after the draw is certified.
  4. Want to see older outcomes for context? Open Previous Results in a second tab.

Winners

  1. Now check your ticket. Match the five white balls (any order) and the red Powerball.
  2. If you added Power Play, your non-jackpot prize can multiply. The match-5 tier becomes $2 million with Power Play. Learn how the multiplier works on the Powerball homepage (look for the Power Play explainer).
  3. Use the official Check Your Numbers tool, type your numbers and date range; it returns only winning combos.
  4. If you win, claim in the state where you bought the ticket. State lottery pages. List claim deadlines and ID requirements.

Prize Money

You’ll see two amounts for the jackpot on Powerball: annuity (the big headline number) and cash value (one-time payment). The annuity is paid over 29 years, and the cash value is smaller but paid at once. For non-jackpot wins, open the prize chart, it’s the clearest view of every tier, from $4 to $1,000,000 (or $2,000,000 with Power Play).

Note: the 10X multiplier is used only when the advertised jackpot is $150M or less. Powerball

Tip for new players: sign your ticket, keep a photo of both sides, and don’t share the barcode image online.
