Rumors circulated that actor Kan Kantathavorn ended his life in prison: CD Clarifies
On October 16,2024 Thai actor and TV host Kan Kantathavorn was arrested in connection with the allegations of public fraud and money laundering through a computer system. In investigation it is found that he had connection with the company named The iCon Group which was accused of operating a pyramid scheme which cheated many individuals. He and the other suspects of this case had been taken into custody for investigation by the Central Investigation Bureau in Bangkok.
Meanwhile, rumours have been circulated regarding the actor Kan who had ended his life in the prison and it was denied with a clarification by the department of Corrections on Tuesday. The clarification interview was given by Ms.Kanokwan Jiwchueaphan, Director of the Corrections Division, Acting Director of the Central Women’s Correctional Institution at 11.30 am.
“Mr.Kant was in normal health and had not made any special requests. The news that was shared was news that had no origin” she added. She further stated that she didn’t receive any reports from the Department of Corrections regarding this till now.
