“The Man of Classical Shots” Ruturaj Gaikwad to debut in the County Championship!

By signing the opportunity to play in the County Championship, the Indian opener and the skipper of CSK Ruturaj Gaikwad made his debut in an international first class domestic game played in England and Wales. This official announcement has been rolled out by the team Yorkshire who stated that,

“Ruturaj will give us some extra solidity in our batting lineup whilst having that ability to score quick runs when required. He’s an exciting talent and one I know is highly rated across the game” said Anthony McGrath, Head Coach, Yorkshire. 

YCCC (Yorkshire County Cricket Club) is one of the successful clubs in the history of this tournament which dates from 1890. With the new arrival of Ruturaj Gaikwad into the team, the members and the other players are expressing their happiness to witness and play with this man who is often praised for his style that expresses the “Classical Shots”. His skills and the experience of leading the team is expected to be an advantage for their team to enhance the potential of the squad by offering his technical prowess. Amidst some of the setbacks in his innings due to injuries, Rutu is known for his consistency in the diverse formats of cricket which are one of the rarest qualities to be found in a modern day player.
