South Jakarta deploys drone in war vs. Covid-19

JAKARTA – The South Jakarta City Government deployed drones equiped with disinfectant liquid to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

Their aim is to disinfect the protocol road stretching from the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) to the Pemuda Statue, South Jakarta

The Argos drone can carry up to 16 liters of disinfectant liquid and will assist the Indonesian Air Force and the Aero Sport Indonesia Federation (FASI)  on their task.

“We hope that the spraying of disinfectants can minimize and handle the COVID-19 outbreak in South Jakarta, especially in the Senayan district.” Senayan District Chief Kurnia Rita said in a statement.

The Indonesian Air Force Chief of Aerospace Potential together with the South Jakarta City Government will carry out the program and will be at the city government’s disposal.

Indonesian Air Force will also be disinfecting several locations including the Old City (Kota Tua) and at Citragrand. As of the moment, there are 515 positive cases recorded in Jakarta with 307 people have recovered and went home.
