The much awaited action thriller Runner is getting boosted with a stellar cast. Directed by Scott Waugh, the film has roped in Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George and Oscar nominee Adriana Barraza (Babel) who joined with Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson. The film is now shooting in Australia.
Runner tracks Hank Malone (Ritchson), a high stakes courier who has been hired to deliver a critical organ to a seven year old girl in need of a transplant. But what begins as a routine delivery becomes a lethal pursuit when a vicious crime syndicate sets its sights on the organ for their own sinister purposes.
Leila George played a role as Kate, the desperate mother who will do anything to rescue her daughter. Barraza is Donna, a determined cartel leader intent on derailing Hank’s mission and Santoro is Damian, Donna’s son, who is aggressively devoted to carrying out her merciless plans.
