Temba Bavuma Ruled Out! This is the new skipper of South Africa’s upcoming test series.

The successful test captain of South Africa, Temba Bavuma met with a hamstring strain which he encountered during the WTC Final 2025 against Australia. This has infected his game to lead his men in the upcoming test series against Zimbabwe. The Proteas will be touring Zimbabwe for the two test matches; post his injury announcement the seasoned spin bowler and a decent batter Keshav Maharaj has been named as the skipper of South Africa for these two test matches.

Keshav Maharaj – As Captain of SA

Keshav Maharaj is an orthodox slow left-arm spinner who exhibits first-class bowling every time when he’s on the crease. He is widely known for his flight, accuracy and subtle variations that will quickly deceive the batter, eventually they would lose their wicket to Maharaja. His consistency in the bowling side earned remarkable positions in all the three formats on the ICC Rankings table.
