(C) The New Year Songs of Japan - Host, Songs and Artists
The Japanese are all set to welcome their new year with the successful musical feast named ‘The 75th edition of Annual Year End and the New Year Songs of Japan’ which is going to take place at Sagami Women’s University Green Hall. This event will be showcasing the amazing artists and their vibrant songs which can be enjoyed by the people for the straight six hours. The program will begin at 4 pm and it lasts till 10 pm and the broadcaster of this event is TV Tokyo.
The broadcaster of this much anticipated event TV Tokyo is celebrating their 60th anniversary along with other classic singers who celebrate their 60th birthdays, which includes Kenichi Mekawa, Miyako Otsuki, Hiroshi Itsuki, and Sachiko Kobayashi.
The New Year Songs of Japan will be hosted by Kazuo Tokumitsu, and Hideyuki Nakayama. And a total of 61 singers will be performing on the stage which includes both classic and the modern pop & native singers.
Aoyama Arata, Akimoto Junko, Ishiawa Sayuri, Itsuki Hiroshi, Oka Midori, Kaji Mitsuo, Kawanaka Miyuki, Kumiko, Kozai Kaori, Kokonoe Yumiko, Godai Natsuko, Kobayashi Sachiko, Fuji Ayako, Yoshida brothers, Yamada Taro, Toba Ichiro are the some of the casts from the lineup for today’s event. This program is termed as ‘Dream Collaboration of gorgeous singers’ in which the blend of young artists with the classic ones is expected to create a strong vibe and a high note among the listeners.
“This is the last time we’ll be performing “Tosaware” (New Year’s Eve) but we’ve also been doing backing vocals for Kiyoshi Maekawa who is also from Nagasaki. We went into the performance with the feeling that we’d be missing out if we didn’t just enjoy it” – Hiroaki Iwanaga.
Rest of the cast has also expressed their excitement to perform in front of the people, some have performed previously and some are performing for the first time on New Year eve.
