The Surprising Herbal Plants to Relieve COVID-19 is Setting a Bar of Curiosity

In the midst of a flare-up in the coronavirus outbreak in the Southeast Asian country, the Thailand Ministry of Health approved the use of a herbal plant extract to treat early stages of Covid-19 as a pilot relief.

In view of this, the ministry shared something interesting and that is Andrographis Paniculata, usually referred to as green chiretta which will be expected to act as an alternative therapy to minimize the severity of the epidemic and reduce treatment costs. Another thing, The care would initially become available in five state-owned hospitals.

Recently, Thailand registered 250 new cases, raising the nation’s total to nearly 7,000, and a government official said the pace of increase in local infections was worrying and advised people to remain home to avoid further spread of the virus.

Consequently, the broad meetings in high-risk areas have also been barred by the government, said Mr Taweesilp Witsanuyotin, a spokesman for the national Covid-19 response centre. The Herbal care may be on a voluntary basis for those with mild symptoms in the 18-60 age range which may start within 72 hours of diagnosis of infection.

On the other hand, The plant extract, known as Fah Talai Jone in Thai, will curb the virus and reduce the severity of inflammation, according to studies cited by the ministry. In fact, human tests have demonstrated that hospital outcomes have changed without side effects after three days of treatment if the drug is given within 72 hours of testing positive.

Separately, the Thai Food and Drug Administration said it was able to register vaccines for Covid-19. The FDA has opened a special registration channel to ensure a swift operation. Dr. Amporn Benjapholpitak, Director General of DTAM highlighted that after taking the drug, patients who tested positive for COVID-19 within 72 hours of presenting symptoms saw their condition improve. She said laboratory testing has shown that the plant extract is effective at destroying and stopping the COVID-19 virus from spreading, but it is not effective at preventing the invasion of the cells.

This might be one of the treatment the nation might want to consider which will also give a breakthrough from waiting a vaccine and a way to level up the medical research program.
