UAE, Malaysia Join Hands and Signed MoUs on AI and Advanced Data Analytics

Both UAE and Malaysia have agreed to promote the technical cooperations between the two countries by focusing more on Artificial Intelligence and advanced data analytics which aids to augment the national security, community safety, and operational efficiencies. The UAE Minister of Investment, Mohamed Hassan and Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail signed the Investment MoU on Monday. 

Based on the given information it is stated that the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan has attended a high level ceremony and expressed the interest of UAE to support the MMAI (Malaysia Madani Artificial Intelligence) initiative. 

“This partnership with the UAE represents a crucial step in advancing Malaysia’s ambitions to become a key player in the global AI landscape. By leveraging cutting-edge AI and advanced data analytics, we aim to address complex challenges, including public safety, while driving greater operational efficiencies. The UAE, recognised for its significant strides in AI and technological innovation, further strengthens this collaboration by bringing its expertise and advanced capabilities into the partnership. It highlights the strong relationship between our nations and reflects our shared commitment to innovation and mutual progress. We look forward to achieving remarkable outcomes together” said Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs

UAE Minister of Investment highlighted the notable partnership signed between the two countries,

“Our collaboration with Malaysia underscores the strength of our bilateral ties and our shared commitment to advancing technological innovation in support of sustainable development. 

The MoU reflects both nation’s focus on establishing meaningful, future-oriented partnerships that create mutual benefits and contribute to addressing global challenges”

He also concluded that this new partnership between two countries will benefit and deliver noteworthy long-term deepened connections. In 2024, both UAE and Malaysia’s trade relationship has encountered a trade reach of $2.5 billion, in the first half of the year surpassing 7 percent from the same period in 2023.
