The special streaming which is carried out on 17 June 2025 by the NHK General TV is the music event ‘Utacon’. It is a cultural celebration which bridges the three iconic eras of Showa, Heisei and Reiwa. And these eras are well-portrayed in the theme songs primarily. The stand alone property of this event is the property to revive the iconic drama scenes and melodies that have emotionally shaped generations of viewers. Also, they aim to present those memorable moments to the modern day viewers. Beyond the nostalgic feeling ‘Utacon’ has been flashing as a source of information to both the seasoned fans and the new-gen viewers. During the performances they displayed the video archives, behind the scenes insights, and performances turned out to be a cultural preservation tool which resonates with the soul of Japan’s dramatic heritage.
