Vietnam President Granted Border Shelters to the People of Lai Chau Province

The warm and colorful program “Spring Border Guard Warms the hearts of the Villagers” has been held on Friday and organised by the Border Guard Command to celebrate the traditional new year of the country peacefully at the borders. President Luong Cuong attended this program and presented the border shelters to the people of Lai Chau Province. 

“This is an act that demonstrates the sense of responsibility, the tradition of mutual love and support of the nation and the good nature of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army, Contributing to beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new period” said President Cuong

During the program the people who live in the borders received gifts, gift bags, 1,400 banh, breeding cows, rice and more from the organisers. Local Party Committees, authorities, departments, branches, and benefactors joined the hands together to donate 50 million VND for the construction of “Border Warm House” for Mr.Ho Van De’s family and they all are coordinated by the Border Guard of Quang Tri province.In addition to this, two new classrooms has been donated to A Xing Primary and Secondary school. 

Other events like artistic exchange programs, folk games, banh chung wrapping, medical examinations and free medicine for those people in the border also took place delightfully. It is reported that all the cost which is worth one billion VND and spent to organise this program has been organised with the money contributed by officers and soldiers of agencies and units of Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard.
