Why do Chinese Travelers Cancel their tours to Thailand significantly?

The concern over the rising panic among the Chinese tourists has become a debate among the administrators of Thailand after the shocking abduction of the Chinese actor Wang Xing and fortunately he has been safely rescued.

“I have returned safely. Thank you Weibo, thank you everyone for sharing the posy, leaving comments and sending messages of concern for me during this time. Hopefully the good things will continue to spread and people’s kindness will be rewarded accordingly.” said the rescued actor

After the intimidating incident against the Chinese actor Wang Xing which took place a few days ago has sparked the idea of calling off the future tour plans to Thailand by most of the Chinese tourists. They strongly express that they wouldn’t opt to go to Thailand even if the travel is available for cheap. Thailand is the major tourist attraction country for the Chinese tourists during the Lunar new year holiday.

The information submitted by the Shanghai The Paper states that 30% of the pre-bookings to Thailand which includes both flight tickets, accommodations have been cancelled after this by the Chinese tourists due to the safety concerns.
