The Indonesian government in a bold step to improve the accuracy of the social welfare distribution cut off 1.9 million recipients of the third phase of 2025 Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT). The change, which takes place later this July, is pursuant of a larger national initiative to ascertain that public assistance is applied to only those that are really in need.
