In celebration of India’s 79th Independence Day, Air India Express has launched a monumental Freedom Sale, offering 5 million discounted seats across its network. International fares start at just ₹4,279 for Xpress Lite, with the offer running until August 15, 2025—valid for travel from August 19, 2025, all the way through March 31, 2026

ASEAN Destinations: What’s on Offer?

While Air India Express’s current Southeast Asia network is limited, passengers can still score great deals via direct and virtual fly connections:

  • Singapore: Though direct flights are now terminated, the airline previously connected Indian cities like Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, and Madurai to Singapore. Virtual interlining with Scoot lets passengers book seamless multi-leg trips to Singapore and beyond.
  • Thailand (Bangkok & Phuket): Operationally, the airline flies to Bangkok and Phuket. Recent expansions include direct services from Pune and Surat to Bangkok—with Xpress Lite fares from ₹6,500, Xpress Value from ₹7,000 (Pune–Bangkok), and ₹7,500 / ₹8,000 respectively for Surat–Bangkok
  • Malaysia, Indonesia & the Philippines: Direct routes are not yet available. However, Air India Express’s virtual interline platform, via Scoot, enables one-stop access to Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines through connecting flights.
