Budi Arie, the former Indonesian Minister of Communication and Informatics has notably served in the other departments of the government including department of disadvantaged regions, villages, and transmigration. On Thursday (December 19, 2024), the Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, took former Minister Budi Arie for investigations over his allegations. It is reported that he has given a positive approach to the investigation which is still going on since 10.00 WIB. Around twenty alleged employees who received bribes had been arrested previously.
