BTS 10th Anniversary: How Jungkook, Jimin and others are celebrating

BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, a popular South Korean boy band, turned ten years old this week. BTS V aka Kim Taehyung, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, Suga, Jin, and Jhope made their debut on June 13, 2013, and changed the world of K-pop (Korean popular music).

On June 13, 2023, BTS celebrated their 10-year anniversary. The Internet had been flooded with memories of their journey. BTS members also shared unseen photos and videos of their journey.

BTS V aka Kim Taehyung shared many unseen videos of the members, including their dance practice videos, on his Instagram stories. BTS V said, “It’s already been 10 years since we debuted. Thank you for being healthy for our members for 10 years.”

BTS leader RM aka Kim Namjoon said, “It’s a really special thing to be enchanted by certain words. Until a noun becomes a pronoun, when BTS becomes BTS, and when ARMY becomes ARMY.”

Many events have already been organized in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, to celebrate the anniversary of BTS. The South Korean capital has been decorated with lights to honour the group.

According to AP News, South Korea decorated the City Hall, Lotte World Tower, the Han River Bridges, and DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) dome in a purple hue to celebrate BTS’ 10th anniversary.
Reportedly, a firework show will take place by the Han River, and fans have planned their group activities to honour Jungkook, Jimin, RM, BTS V, Jhope, Suga and Jin.

BTS fans are called the ARMY, which stands for ‘Adorable Representative MC for Youth’. The band has a massive fanbase across the world. The BTS members compose, write, edit, and record all their songs.
Last year, BTS met United States President Joe Biden at the White House. In 2021, BTS attended the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to give a performance.
