One documentary each nominated by Singapore’s CNA is the country’s representation at the 2026 International Emmy Awards, earning both Copy + Paste + Steal and One “Orphan” Every Hour nominations in two categories. The nominations were announced on September 24, 2026 and this is the third year in a row a CNA documentary is nominated for an International Emmy.
There are 64 nominations in 16 categories from 22 countries that make up the 2026 International Emmy field. The awards ceremony to present the winners will take place on November 23, 2026 in New York City.
CNA 2026 International Emmy Awards Nominations
The two nominations for CNA International Emmy are in different areas of documentary storytelling.
Copy + Paste + Steal is nominated in the Arts Programming category and One “Orphan” Every Hour is up for award in the Documentary category. Both productions were created for or by Mediacorp/CNA and feature Singapore’s entries in this year’s international television awards.

Copy + Paste + Steal explores how creative professionals are responding to the rapid growth of generative AI in the creative industries.
The programme addresses issues related to AI-generated content and the potential of ever-more ubiquitous AI tools to affect artists and other creative professionals.
The documentary is up against three other films from abroad in the category of Arts Programming, namely:
- Copy + Paste + Steal – Singapore
- Der Talentierte Mr. F – Germany
- Live Aid at 40: When Rock ’n’ Roll Took on the World – United Kingdom
- Uncredited – The Story of Passinho – Brazil
The programme was also recognised at the 2026 World Media Festivals, where Mediacorp listed it among its Gold-winning productions.
One “Orphan” Every Hour Earns Documentary Nomination
One “Orphan” Every Hour, a Documentary contender, is the second CNA International Emmy nominee.
The film reviews the history of children in South Korea that were sent abroad as adoptees, and were considered orphans over the decades since the Korean War. It covers about 60 years of the international adoption experience and stories.
The Documentary category features four nominees:

The 2026 International Emmy Awards nominations come on the heels of CNA’s success at the international television awards.
It’s the third time in as many years that a CNA documentary has been nominated for an International Emmy. The Exiles and Walk The Line are among the productions Singapore media previously reported that were nominated by the CNA.
The most recent nominations also demonstrate the diverse topics addressed by CNA documentaries, including the social implications of AI and the implications of international adoption over the long-term.
The recognition comes after Mediacorp’s works win numerous other international awards in 2026.

The 54th annual gala in New York City, on November 23, 2026, will mark the end of the 2026 International Emmy Awards.
