KUALA LUMPUR – Thirty-three of Malaysia’s positive Covid-19 cases have been cured and allowed to return home today, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
In a post on his official Twitter platform (@DGHisham) on Saturday (March 14), he advised tabligh assembly participant at Masjid Jamek Sri Petaling with symptoms of sickness not to join prayers until they have been confirmed healthy. He also urged members of the mosque and mosque committee and its management to take preventive measure to ensure the cleanliness of the mosques.
“It is recommended that mosque and surau authorities to regularly clean the premises using detergents and disinfectants,” he said.
He also said that the committee and its management needs to recall and track down participants who attended the tabligh rally at the Sri Petaling Mosque and advise them to screen for the protection of themselves, their families and the local community. As of yesterday, there are 39 new cases reported in the country, bringing the total to 197 cases.
