Filipino Students to Gain Al Skills Through Alibaba Cloud Initiative

Alibaba Group’s cloud computing business, Alibaba Cloud, is well-positioned to significantly enhance Filipino students’ digital technology skills with its Alibaba Cloud Academy Certificate Associate (ACA) Generative AI Engineer Course. The project, which will launch in May 2024, shows Alibaba Cloud’s commitment to the global development of digital talent.

Alibaba Cloud plans to start the ACA Generative AI Engineer Course in May 2024 with the goal of increasing the digital literacy of Philippine teachers and students. Emphasising technology and artificial intelligence, the primary goal is to equip the next generation with the basic digital abilities they will require in the future.

Developed with National University (NU) Philippines, the ACA Generative AI Engineer Course aims to enhance NU researchers’ and students’ understanding of AI and digital technologies. By means of this partnership, NU is able to leverage the resources and experience of Alibaba Cloud to provide cutting edge expertise and skills to its community.

Engaging Asia Pacific College

Asia Pacific College, an earlier project winner and member of the NU alliance, has completed numerous in-depth online training courses with Alibaba Cloud. These courses address generative AI, cloud computing, security, and database administration among other important topics. By means of the training, educators and students are better equipped to thrive in the dynamic digital world.

Detail of the Course

The ACA Generative AI Engineer Course includes the following broad and diverse curriculum:

– Acquaintance with algorithms of machine learning.

– Handling and evaluating human language data with natural language processing (NLP).

Systems of encoder-decoder that translate sequences from input to output.

– Advanced artificial intelligence models, generative adversarial networks (GANs), that may produce new data.

The course consists of three parts: Name, Conjure, Use Learning, Visualisation, and Application. This approach assures students to get both academic and practical skills by enabling them to create Generative AI applications on Alibaba Cloud platforms. Practical method that combines theory and practice promotes a deeper understanding of AI technology.

Accreditation and Recognition

Those that finish will receive globally renowned ACA credentials attesting to their AI skills and knowledge. Recent grads who hold these credentials have an advantage in the job market. Alibaba Cloud demonstrated the depth and significance of its training programmes in April 2023 when it certified over 60,000 individuals worldwide.

Changing AI in the Future of the Philippines

Alibaba Cloud is educating Filipino students advanced AI skills, which is considerably improving the technology ecosystem in the Philippines. Together with global certification, this comprehensive training prepares students for a digital future. Working together, with institutions such as Asia Pacific College and National University, ensures that a broad spectrum of instructors and students pick up current knowledge and practical skills. Ultimately, by preparing a new generation of tech-savvy employees ready to lead in the digital era, this project aims to impact the path AI and digital technology take in the Philippines.
