India A vs England Lions: After Gritty draw in 1st test, focus shifts to June 6 showdown!

The first unofficial test between India A and England Lions kicked off on 30 May, from the day 1 India A team has been setting the standard. The curious battle between the two teams showcased not only their talents but also the conviction, patience and resilience which are considered to be the key qualities to be acquired during the test matches. 

While the world was more occupied with the popular and most celebrated franchise cricket IPL 2025, Team India A and England Lions were creating the unforgettable moments in the history of the test.

  • Karun Nair, one of the highly hoped players in India A, stole the show with his stunning double century 204 off 281 balls.
  • This was like a statement to the world that he’s still got it and made a big sensation in the national return.
  • Critics were silenced by the seasoned test star Sarfaraz Khan who hit back with a gritty 92 runs.
  • First Innings of India A went off with the total of 557.
  • While the game was dominated by the excellency of India A batters, England Lions also roared back by piling up 587 runs at the end of their first innings.
  • The first unofficial test was wrapped with India A at 241/2, and the iconic batters Jaiswal, Jurel and Reddy scored their half century each.

As it was predicted earlier, the match was drawn and set the stage for an ideal battle to seal their first victory in the upcoming second test which was at Northampton.
