Lunar Series, a series of Chinese New Year-related dramas by iQIYI, premiered in Manila, the Philippines, in a star-studded event and enthralled the audience with romance, fantasy, and family sagas, all timed in time to the Lunar New Year 2026 (Feb 17). Historical interest and modern elements are also intertwined in the titles such as Love Between Lines (Ren Jia Lun, Lan Ying Ying) and Strange Chronicles of Tang, and can be watched exclusively in 4K with Filipino subtitles only on the iQIYI app. The mall event included red carpet rollouts, KOL meet-and-greets, lion dances, and giveaways, and had 1,000+ attendees as part of iQIYI expansion into SEA. Love on Theater suspens,e such as Fangs of Fortune and micro-dramas are all enhancements of mobile viewing. The launch highlights the move by iQIYI into the PH market after the ABSCNB collaborations to compete with Netflix on the pan-Asian content.
