The firework festival that is celebrated across Japan traces its roots back to the 18th century of the Kyoho famine. This annual firework festival has begun to honor both the dead and to uphold the public spirits under these dazzling fireworks that are displayed during the evening. As the years passed it evolved as a tradition in Japan highlighting the values like hope, reminiscing the ancestors and unification of community. Also, the vibrant colors and light that is displayed during the fireworks in the night sky resonate the aesthetic truths like impermanence and beauty which is termed as ‘Hanabi’ or fire flowers.
Thus, this firework festival remains as a symbol and preserver of culture and heritage by uniting their people together to share the merriness within themselves.
