jujutsu kaisen season 2 release date, story and more

One of the most watched anime in recent years is Jujutsu Kaisen. The 2020 debut of the dark fantasy Shonen Jump program solidified MAPPA as one of the largest anime companies at the moment.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 marks the return of Yuji, Satoro, and company two years after the first season’s conclusion. One of the most eagerly awaited anime of 2023 is Juju’s upcoming second season, but as recent history has shown, anime series may succeed or fail in their second seasons (looking at you, The Promised Neverland).

We’re not concerned that JJ will face a similar fate, either, because there is so much excellent source material from the manga that will be adapted. If you can’t wait for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, we’ve compiled all the information you need, including the official release date, the anticipated number of episodes, and information on the most recent trailer.

Release date

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will premiere in Japan on Thursday, July 6, 2023, according to confirmation. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 was scheduled to premiere in July 2023 when it was first announced around the close of last year. The precise release date was then announced in March of this year when a fresh trailer was made public.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has not yet been scheduled for distribution outside of Japan. Though one may assume Crunchyroll intends to get season 2 up fast for those of us outside of Japan considering that it already airs season 1 and the movie as well as having reported on the Japanese release date.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will, according to the trailers thus far, provide additional information about Satoru Gojo’s past. Juju season 2 will specifically adapt the Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu Arc (also known as Gojo’s Past Arc).

In 2006, Gojo was in his second year at Tokyo Jujutsu High when this arc took place. The Shibuya Incident Arc will also be adapted for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. The longest arc in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga at the moment centers on a scheme to seal away Goto and occurs shortly after the conclusion of season 1.

Number of episodes

It has been revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 would consist of two courses and run nonstop for six months. This information was made public on the Jujutsu Kaisen official website (via Anime News Network).

Although the number of episodes has not been confirmed, the fact that Juju season 2 would last six months implies that there may be 24 episodes, which was the same as season 1.
