The grand launch ceremony took place at KG Mobility headquarters in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, albeit unaccompanied by dignitaries from BYD, the Chinese battery supplier.

The Musso EV does have power along with practicality. Its 80.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery gives a possible range of 400 km on one charge and, moreover, obtains up to 80 percent in just 24 minutes in fast charging, thereby making it much more relevant to busy drivers.

The Musso EV accommodates work and leisure well. It allows the carrying of a payload of 500 kg, which will accommodate even family seating arrangements. It has its top priority in safety, thanks to its next-generation battery management system, which includes real-time monitoring of battery status.

Rival to Kia & Actually Owning Market Share

At the event, KG Mobility juxtaposed the Musso EV to Kia’s Tasman pickup, signaling escalating competition in South Korea’s electric truck market. The company already dominated 94.8% of the domestic pickup market last year, and they aim to see their continuity.

With a promising sales target of 500 units and more per month, KG Mobility’s confidence in its latest creation, the Musso EV, is sure to benefit users-in-demand is lowered at 14 million won ($9,800) over five years from using a traditional gas pickup.

Worth Reviving for the Future

The flagship Musso, marketed under the SsangYong banner, is a powerful name in the history of SUVs in South Korea. Bringing it back as an electric pickup gives KG Mobility a great blending of tradition with new technologies. A bold step indeed from which to achieve clean mobility.

Musso EV will revolutionize South Korea’s pickup truck market with affordable pricing, state-of-the-art technology, and extremely robust, gracious audience acceptance. Indeed, this is forward movement for the country’s EV industry as the world progresses in cleaner energy.
