Singapore’s wealth fund Temasek Holdings said on Friday that Teo Chee Hean will replace Lim Boon Heng as chairman. With Teo Chee Heanâs appointment, the state investment firm is now prepared to deal with the shifting dynamics of the world market.
The process of handing over from Lim Boon Heng to Teo Chee Hean will be planned slowly over quite a few months. When he starts as deputy chairman on July 1, 2025, Teo Chee Hean will support Lim Boon Heng during the process of handing over. After a third-quarter board meeting on October 9, Teo Chee Hean will be named the new chairman of Temasek, officially bringing an end to Lim Boon Hengâs time as the companyâs leader.
Because of this method, there is no break in the sharing of Lim Boon Hengâs knowledge and experience with Teo Chee Hean. The handover schedule enables Teo Chee Hean to get to know Temasekâs functions and still consult Lim Boon Hengâs knowledge about the organization.

With the change in leadership, Temasek carries on activating its wide-ranging T2030 strategy. This 10-year plan was formed under Lim Boon Hengâs leadership and allows Teo Chee Hean to make a stable portfolio for the future.
