Malaysia Airlines’ service expansion to Australia involves the deployment of modern Airbus A330neo aircraft with private business class suites that serve multiple routes. The Oneworld alliance member started using the A330neo on Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne routes in December 2024 as it worked toward providing this aircraft for all three daily Melbourne flights by the end of this year.
Through 2028, Malaysia Airlines has obtained 20 A330neo aircraft from Airbus, which will be delivered progressively until December 2025, beginning with the current three aircraft. Today’s latest aircraft models provide passengers with quieter as well as more comfortable travel experiences than earlier aircraft models did. Starting in 2026, Malaysia Airlines plans to fit its Airbus A350 flagship model with business suites that match the ones already in use across its long-haul premium service.
